Four turnovers told the tale as the G.W. eagles dropped a 17-to-14 homecoming decision to Franklin County, and fell out of playoff contention. The game remained scoreless until the second quarter, when Franklin County scored a touchdown. G.W. answered about a minute and a half later. But Franklin County got a field goal just before the half to take a 10-7 lead. G.W. had turnovers on their first three second-half possessions, while Franklin County built up a 17-7 lead. G.W. scored with six minutes left, then got the ball back. But a desperation pass with .2 seconds left fell incomplete.
