Haylen picks up some muddy yardage

The G.W. Eagles found themselves fighting the elements and a stiff Magna Vista defense most of the game. Through the first three and a half quarters, a Magna Vista touchdown was the only score---and the way things were going, it looked like their 6-0 lead might hold up. A power outage halted the game at the 6:07 mark of the fourth quarter with G.W. facing a 3rd and 14. The lights came back on, and so did the G.W. offense. They took two plays to score and tie the game. A missed field goal forced it into overtime. Both teams scored and got extra points on their first possession. In the second overtime, G.W. scored, but failed on their extra point. Magna Vista scored on a 4th down run, then lined up for the extra point and the win. But a bad snap forced their quarterback to run for the end zone. He was knocked out of bounds on the one-inch line! G.W. scored in their third overtime and made the extra point. A sack by John Gregory put Magna Vista into a 4th and 23. The defense held, giving G.W. ANOTHER THRILLING VICTORY!!
