The G.W. Eagles had their hearts broken for the second week in a row by
the Franklin County Eagles. A defensive touchdown was the difference in
the first half as Franklin County got out to a 14-7 halftime lead. G.W.
tied it on a Haylen Murphy run, but Franklin County re-assumed the lead after a
long pass play. G.W. regained the lead with 6:48 left, but a wingback
option pass set up Franklin County's go-ahead score with less than two minutes
left. A furious G.W. drive ended with a Franklin County interception in
the end zone.
