Playing three games in eight days?  No problem.  For the second time this calendar year, the GW Eagles won three games in an eight-day period.  They capped the latest trifecta with a workmanlike 39-0 win over the Martinsville Bulldogs.

For the second time this week, the Eagles scored on their first possession to make it 7-0.  Their next possession resulted in another touchdown, giving them a 14-0 lead at the end of the first.  In the second quarter, it was more of the same.  The Eagles went to the air to make it a three-score lead.  Their fourth touchdown came with a minute left in the first half.  They went into the break up 27-0.

The second half was more of the same.  The Eagles scored on their first possession to make it 33-0.  Their last touchdown came in the fourth.

GW's defense was extra-stingy.  They allowed Martinsville only 114 total yards...and only 26 in the second half.  They also picked off two Bulldog passes.  On special teams, they recovered two fumbles on kickoffs.  On offense, the Eagles racked up 294 yards in the air---their most in eight years.
