After a forgettable season opener on the road, the GW Eagles returned home and put on quite a show for the 250 fans who could attend because of pandemic protocols.  The Eagles scored on all of their first half possessions, overwhelming the Patrick County Cougars, 41-0.

The Eagles wasted no time, scoring on their second play from scrimmage.   Later, they got their second long touchdown pass in as many weeks from a talented senior.  Willie Edmunds marked his return home in style, piling up 154 yards on just eight carries---including three touchdowns!

On defense, the Eagles pitched a shutout.  Patrick County managed 11 first downs, but the passing game was shut down by great pressure from Ahmad Poole, Jacob Bottom, Jalen Strange and others.  They didn't allow Patrick County QB Will Sprowl to complete a pass all night.  He was 0-8 passing and was sacked three times.
