G.W.'s David Hoskins recovered a fumbled punt to lead to the winning score against L. C. Bird!

The Eagles had so much working against them...on the road, against a traditional powerhouse, four turnovers, and a VERY questionable call on a blocked punt.  But they managed to reach deep inside and pull out a 21-14 win over L. C. Bird.  The Eagles scored quickly, on the third play of the game.  But that 7-0 lead would hold up until halftime, despite several Eagles drives deep in Skyhawk territory.  Then a blocked Skyhawks punt landed in the hands of a Bird player and he ran it to the 10-yard line, setting up a tying touchdown.  G.W. fumbled on their next drive, setting up another Skyhawk score.  But G.W. would go three plays on their next drive before running it in.  Then, a fumbled punt would set G.W. up for the game-winning score!
