Dominating defense!


For the second week in a row, the GW Eagles went west on Route 58 and put on a dominating performance.  This time, the defense took center stage as they throttled the Patrick County Cougars, pointing the way to a 59-0 win.

After an uncharacteristic three-and-out on their first drive, the Eagles defense scored a touchdown on their second.  They then used special teams to take a 14-0 lead.  A safety made it 16-0 at the end of the first quarter.

With Wesley Graves out with an injury, Willie Edmonds stepped up to score four touchdowns, including this incredible run.

In the second half, the Eagles turned the game over to backups.  The results?  A first-ever touchdown for a promising freshman.

During all this, the Eagles defense was absolutely stellar.  They surrendered only four first downs and 13 YARDS!

On the down side, the Eagles had 14 penalties that negated five touchdowns and nearly 500 all-purpose yards.
