Week 3

Another super performance from their senior tailback and stepped-up defensive play led the G.W. Eagles to a 38-15 home win over the Tunstall Trojans.

The Eagles opened the scoring with Weber Harris' first career field goal. They extended the lead late in the first quarter on another sensational run from Kuashawn Forest (pictured below).

On their next possession, Sam Branch made the Trojan's defense pay for keying on Kuashawn, using his legs to put the Eagles up 17-0.

On a long run, the Eagles fumbled and the Trojans recovered. There was a hold during the run, which also resulted in an ejection. During the runback, there was a block in the back on Tunstall...AND a personal foul at the end of the play. On the very next play, Tunstall bobbled a reverse handoff, and the Eagles made them pay.

Tunstall used a 216-yard performance from quarterback Luke Buckner to stay in the game, but the Eagles' run defense kept the Trojans in check the rest of the way.
