Bengals bombed!
It was a familiar story Friday. The GW Eagles stormed out of the gate, scoring on every single first-half possession. They held their opponent scoreless for the fifth game in a row in the first half. From there, the Eagles cruised to their sixth win in a row.
After getting the opening kickoff, the Eagles wasted no time. Tony White scored his first touchdown of the year to put GW up 7-0; just two plays into the game. After a Donald Smith interception, the Eagles aired it out two go up by two scores. The Eagles then dialed up their air command for a third score. After another Eagle defensive stop, the special teams put more points on the board. From there, the rout was on, punctuated by a late first-half run from a excellent back who makes the most of his limited carries!
TIt remained 50-0 into the second half when Weber Harris scored his first touchdown to give the Eagles their final margin.
The Eagles return to Danville this Friday for homecoming against Halifax County.
