A week after losing to one of North Carolina's top teams, the Eagles returned to Christopher Stadium for their 93rd meeting. It was all GW. They scored the most points ever against the Hilltoppers, posting a 55-18 win.
GW wasted no time, scoring on a touchdown pass just 25 seconds into the game. Tim Glass scored a second touchdown later in the first quarter. After the Hilltoppers parlayed a tipped pass into a score, the Eagles answered through the air again early in the second quarter. They then used an impressive run to take a 28-6 lead. But Glass made it interesting. They scored to make it 28-12, then took advantage of a high snap on a punt to set up deep inside Eagle territory with :31 left in the half. The Eagles held them out of the end zone on the final play of the first half.
In the second half, the Eagles' defense got plain *nasty.* They wasted no time in putting points on the board. GW then added an impressive touchdown run from Jamil Griffin, another super run from CJ Graves, and a final defensive touchdown from David Walker to round out the scoring!
