Caleb McGeough nails the game winner!
It was the third straight nail-biter for the G.W. Eagles...and the second in a row where they won in the final minute of the game. In their first-ever meeting as district opponents, GW and the Tunstall Trojans hooked up in Dry Fork. Tunstall scored first on an epic 19-play, 89-yard drive that took nearly ten minutes off the clock! The Eagles needed only a minute to answer that score. GW scored two more times to take what looked like a comfortable 21-7 lead into the break. But in the second half, the Trojans stormed back. Chase Scearce scored three more touchdowns to put the Trojans out in front 28-21 in the fourth. Tunstall had the ball in GW territory midway through the fourth, but the defense struck with the play that would change the game. Later, the Eagles held Tunstall on downs. Then Caleb McGeough nailed the game-winner with 37 seconds on the clock!
