Eagles Linebacker Malyk Dandridge celebrates a fumble recovery
The G.W. Eagles made their first-ever game against Patrick County one to remember. The Eagles scored a modern-day record 84 points in routing the winless Cougars. Omar Grimes kicked off the score-fest on the second play of the game. Later, Myles Bennett would add another long return. Quarterback Hunter Byrnes rumbled into the end zone late in the first. In the second, backup tailback Dwight Harris scored the second of his three touchdowns. Patrick County helped the Eagles out with seven turnovers, and by opting not to punt. The Eagles move to 6-0!
