Chris Burton hauls in a pass in a big Eagle win!
The G-W Eagles got their first district win last night---a 32-7 victory over William Fleming. The Eagles jumped out to a six-nothing lead...then scored again just before halftime. But a late Fleming score cut the halftime deficit to 12-7. G-W added two Jeremiah McGeough field goals to extend the lead to 18-7---then found the end zone again. Then the Eagles tacked one on for the good measure. The Eagles got a boost from third-string tailback Akeem Smith. He ran for over a hundred yards after being pressed into starting duty because of injuries to Travis Jones and Lamar Lee.
