The G.W. Eagles traveled to a place where few road team emerge victorious. The Eagles not only won, but they did it in convincing fashion. G.W. scored touchdowns on four of their first five possessions. They led 28-0 at the break, and built up a 35-0 lead before cruising to a 35-14 win over Amherst County. Travis Jones had his second second three-touchdown rushing performance. He also was pivotal in three successful fake punt attempts the Eagles pulled off. One of them happened immediately after a first down was taken away on a penalty. The Eagles surrendered only 54 first half yards as they won their second game in row.
