G.W was a decided underdog as they opened the playoffs at home against 
C. D. Hylton.  The Bulldogs are the two-time defending state champions, and had won 39 of their last 40 games. G.W. used special teams to set up their first touchdown.  But Hylton would get an incredible run from their backup QB Drew Feldman to tie it up at 7-7.  Feldman added another touchdown to give the 'Dawgs a 14-7 halftime lead. In the second half, the Eagles stormed back on their first possession, capped by another long run from Micah Knight. The game remained tied at 14-14 until there was a little more than four minutes left in the game. G.W. knocked out Feldman with a concussion. That brought third-string QB John Overton into the game on a 4th-and-7.  All he did was break the Eagles back with a 22-yard touchdown pass to seal the game.
