The G.W. Eagles opened district play at Patrick Henry, and threw down the gauntlet for the rest of the District. The Eagles ran roughshod over the Patriots, coming away with a 31-0 win; their first shutout in four years! G.W. opened the scoring late in the first quarter on an option keeper. They then used their leading rusher to extend the lead early in the second. G.W. scored on their first three second-half possessions, punctuating it with this touchdown. The Eagles put their unbeaten district record on the line Friday against Halifax during Homecoming 2009 at J.T. Christopher Stadium!
