Amherst County and G.W. combined for 94 points and more than 900 yards of offense. Unfortunately for the Eagles, most of the numbers were generated by the Lancers. They put on an offensive performance for the ages as they beat G.W., 63-31. The game actually started out great for the Eagles, as they used some misdirection to take an early 7-0 lead. They re-gained the lead at 14-7 late in the first one on another TD through the air. But Amherst County's offense kept rolling, while G.W.'s began turning the ball over. Each team's punter made only one appearance all night. Amherst ended with the most points scored against a G.W. team since 1915.
