A wild game, but more of the same for the G.W. Eagles. This time, their big lead didn't come until the second half, but they still used big plays to storm past Brooke Point, 48-21, in the opening round of the playoffs! David Wilson's 95-yard TD run made it 20-7 late in the first. That play really turned the game around. Two plays before that, G.W. had stopped Chase Barnette a yard short on a 4th down play. It was 14-7 at the time. In the second half, Travis Tarpley pretty much sealed the deal with a 90-yard kickoff return for a score to open the second half. He added a 60-yard TD run a few plays later. Chase Barnette was all that and more! 268 yards on 37 carries. Brooke Point actually ended up outgaining G.W., but got more than 100 yards in the game's final four minutes against our backups on defense. G.W. takes on Potomac Saturday afternoon at 3:00 for the Northwest Region Division 5 title!
