The Eagles celebrate after a hard-fought road opener!
Both teams opened thier 2007 season with nearly 18 minutes of scoreless football---then proceeded to score three touchdowns in 34 seconds! G.W. opened with a David Wilson run and fumble into the end zone. It was recovered by Kendyall Hairston for a score! Varina answered quickly with a touchdown pass---but G.W. answered even more quickly with Wilson returning the subsequent kickoff for a score. Varina tied it up with a long drive to open the second half. G.W. then re-gained the lead on a Zack Smith field goal. Varina later missed a field, and goal sealed it with a TD run from T.J. Price.
