Redemption!

One week removed from a disappointing home loss, the G.W. Eagles bounced back in a big way, going on the road and beating the previously-unbeaten Halifax County Blue Comets, 23-14.  Travis Tarpley's interception return for a score gave G.W. a 7-0 lead, but Halifax tied it before halftime.  In the second half, T.J. Price ran in a long one to give G.W. the lead.  A Ray Bracey Field Goal made it 17-7.  But the Comets stormed back on a long pass to make it 17-14.  G.W. got the ball with 7:25 left, and embarked on an epic, 14-play drive, capped by a short run from Price to seal the deal!!  The Eagles gained 211 yards on the ground in the second half, as compared to only 45 all of last week!
