Homecoming Shutout

The G.W. Eagles turned in one of their worst offensive performances in recent history before a sparse homecoming crowd on a rainy Friday.  Playing without two key offensive starters, the Eagles never got untracked offensively.  Magna Vista's fine quarterback Jonathan Williams ran in a 55-yard score in the first quarter, and that's all the scoring we would see.  G.W. had a couple of opportunities late in the game to punch it into the end zone, but came up just short.  It was the first time the Eagles had been shut out in Christopher Stadium in at least 20 years.

The Homecoming crowd cheers on the Eagles.
