Rough end to a special season.

There wasn't much drama as G.W.'s record-breaking 2017 came to a sudden end.  The two-time defending state champions from Salem scored on their first three possessions to take a 21-0 lead at J.T. Christopher Stadium.

Salem extended the lead to 28-0 before the Eagles finally mounted a late first half drive.  But Salem broke their backs with an End Zone interception that they returned 102 yards for a touchdown.  Another early second half touchdown put their lead at 42-0.

Playing for pride, the Eagles managed two fourth quarter touchdowns.  The 42-13 loss ended their season with a fine 10-2 record.
