Dodging the turnover bug!
The G.W. Eagles managed to overcome FIVE turnovers to post an impressive 30-12 road win over the Person County Rockets. After fumbling on the first play of the game, the Eagles got the ball back and needed only three plays to go 67 yards, scoring on an option keeper by Byrnes. On their next possession, the Eagles took to the air to take a two touchdown lead. Person County scored to get back within six, but a second quarter Eagles touchdown gave them a 21-6 lead at the break. The Eagles extended the lead to 28-6 late in the third quarter, wrapping up the debut of new Head Coach Nick Anderson in style!
