Overwhelmed.

Donald Lyons picks off a Hylton pass

The G.W. Eagles finally met their match in traditional state powerhouse C.D. Hylton. The Bulldogs returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown, to set the tone early.  From there, it was too much Ahmad Brooks and too much Bulldog defense.  Injuries to QB Jon Fulton and RB Kenny Lewis didn't help, but the Bulldogs were not to be denied their 4th straight Northwest Regional Division 6 Championship. They are the first team in 12 years to shut out G.W.  They'll play in the state semifinals against the only other team to beat G.W., Thomas Dale.  Congrats to the Eagles on an outstanding 10-2 campaign!!!
