In the first half of this playoff game, G.W. looked to have things well under control. Their defense was holding the record-setting North Stafford offense pretty well in check. they used two long touchdowns runs, one from Kenny Lewis, the other from Micah Knight, to stake themselves out to a 14-7 halftime lead. In the second half, the Eagles were in the shadow of the goal line on their first possession, but Jeremy Motley fumbled throuhg the end zone for a touchback. G.W. missed field goals in two subsequent trips to the "red zone", as North Stafford got their offense untracked. G.W. scored a late desperation touchdown, but couldn't recover the on-side kick.
