Oct. 1, 2010 --- Battlefield 42  G.W. 7

Shorthanded Eagles lose big

The G-W Eagles arrived in Northern Virginia without the services of their leading rusher, their leading passer, their second-leading receiver, and two defensive stalwarts.  On the road against one of the state's premiere programs, the results were predictable.   Battlefield used a bludgeoning rushing attack to ground the Eagles, 42-7.   The Bobcats didn't even attempt a pass.   G.W.'s lone highlight came in the fourth quarter on a keeper from fill-in QB Tim Moore.
