The Eagles had all the ingredients in place for a letdown, but they never allowed it to happen. They drove 80 yards on 9 plays on their opening drive for a touchdown, then followed a Comet fumble with another score. Another Comet fumble set up a third score. Then the Eagles went to the air just before the half. In the second half, the Eagles used their defense to score a touchdown, then played mostly reserves the rest of the way to keep everyone healthy for the playoffs.
