The G.W. Eagles are the
last-ever Western District champions. They used a strong rushing attack
and a stingy defense to topple Halifax County 33-0. Micah Knight
closed out his Western District career with another spectacular
game. He scored the Eagles first touchdown
of the Knight, then added the clincher in the
second half. He ended up with 220 yards on 19 carries. The
G.W. defense limited the Comets to 16 yards rushing and 76 total yards.
G.W.'s Kenny Lewis eludes
tacklers as the Eagles clinch the Western District Title and a playoff
berth.
