D.J. Benion points the way as G.W. tops
Glass in the Shrine Game!

The G.W. Eagles relied on a strong running game and a stingy defense to knock off the E.C. Glass Hilltoppers at the 55th annual Shrine Game. The Eagles scored the first time they had the ball, but Glass answered late in the first. That's when the Eagles used special teams to set up their second score. G.W. took a two touchdown lead early in the second half, but Glass scored to cut the margin to 21-13. That's when the Eagles went on a long drive, punctuated by D.J. Benion's third touchdown to ice the game. Stephen Ham added two scores as the Eagles improved to 3-0 for the first time in three years!
