Richard Ferrell hauls in a tipped
pass to set up a touchdown!

The G.W. Eagles knocked off a team that was one play away from the North Carolina State Championship game a year ago. The Hillside Hornets moved the ball downfield and quickly scored a touchdown---but G.W. had a quick answer. The Hornets built up a 14-6 lead, but the Eagles set up another score with a bit of good fortune. D.J. Benion's second touchdown of the night gave the Eagles a 20-14 halftime lead. Benion and Stephen Ham added second-half scores to give G.W. a 34-14 lead early in the 4th. Hillside stormed back to cut the deficit to 34-20. That's when lightning struck---literally. The game was called and G.W. won!
